Frequently asked questions
How does Bybit calculate position size?
Bybit multiplies contract size by contract value (for BTCUSD that is $1 per contract). Enter your risk and stop distance in the calculator and it returns the quantity you can enter so the loss at the stop never exceeds the amount you accepted.
Where is my liquidation price on Bybit?
In cross margin the liquidation depends on the whole account balance, in isolated margin only on the position margin. The calculator estimates the isolated case: entry +/- (margin / size), adjusted for fees and maintenance margin.
What fees does Bybit charge on futures?
Bybit futures cost 0.02% maker and 0.055% taker plus hourly funding. On a $10,000 position that is $2 maker or $5.50 taker per side — the calculator subtracts both legs so your stop-loss stays honest after fees.
